Summer, mountains & pure hiking happiness

Hiking Highlights

alexander-enzinger-weg (c) kitzsteinhorn

Alexander Enzinger Trail

Probably one of the most famous, but also most beautiful hikes in Kaprun. A hike from the Alpincenter to the Maiskogel. Always with a view of the beautiful Lake Zell and the surrounding mountains. Don't worry: you can also pass the managed huts here, so that you can stop and refresh yourself.

The two peaks, the Kitzsteinhorn and the Maiskogel, can be connected via the well-known Alexander Enzinger trail.

hohe Tauern Panorama Trail

Hohe Tauern Panorama Trail

Up the mountain and enjoy the unique nature around the Hohe Tauern National Park and Zell am See-Kaprun. The hike can be done as a multi-day hike or simply tackle the stages individually. The stages begin in Krimml and lead over the Wildkogel and Pass Thurn to the Pinzgauer Hütte and Lake Zell. One thing is for sure, the view and nature will accompany and reward you every meter.

schoenwieskopf

SCHWALBENWAND - SCHÖNWIESKOPF - HUNDSTEIN

Hike 3 peaks in one tour: Schwalbenwand, Schönwieskopf and Hundstein. A demanding hike that offers many beautiful views. It starts from Zell am See Mitterberg and ends here again, how good that the restaurant is right there and nothing stands in the way of a well deserved treat.

SUMMIT TOUR TO THE KITZSTEINHORN

It is possible to take the Kaprun glacier cable car up to the “Top of Salzburg” panoramic platform. The path then leads from the Kitzsteinhorn summit station over a steep slope to the summit. (The support of a mountain guide is recommended.) From the mountain summit it is only 200 meters up to the Kitzsteinhorn mountain station.

For those who would like to learn something about the diverse nature, there are also various educational trails for hiking. A highlight for the whole family is the high-altitude promenade on the Schmittenhöhe with many viewpoints and attractions. If that's still not enough for you, you can also go on a hiking tour with the three llamas Professor, Wuschel and Attila - llama trekking.

In the numerous mountain huts, refreshments are provided again, whether a small farmer's snack or one of our delicious, hearty Pinzgau specialties. The hospitality of the people of Salzburg is particularly beneficial here.
